Maruti and Toyota relationship

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota Kirloskar Motor can take up their designs in the Indian market under an alliance, using a logo and structures from each other. Apart from this, it has a new bumper with a newly designed front profile and a new projector headlight setup with a new LED DRL setup. In the side profile, it has been given steel wheels, at the time of launch, its top model will be given diamond cut alloy wheels which are going to be operated with all-terrain tires.

No information has been given about its real profile in the shared image. But it is expected that its rear side will also get a new bumper with a newly designed LED tail light. Inside, the cabin is also expected to be largely inspired by the Toyota Fortuner. However, its cabin is going to be similar to other shared vehicles of Maruti. It is going to get the same dashboard layout and central console as the Fortuner along with Maruti’s traditional new steering wheel with Maruti logo. Talking about build quality, Toyota Fortuner comes with very good build quality in the Indian market, whereas we do not expect this with Maruti.

Maruti Suzuki Augusta Engine Specifications

Maruti Suzuki Agusta will house the same engine options as that of Toyota Fortuner under the hood. Currently, a 2.7-litre petrol engine generating 116 bhp and 245 Nm of torque powers Toyota Fortuner. Additionally, a 2.8 turbo-diesel engine has been offered which produces maximum torque, i.e., 204 bhp and 500 Nm.

Both engine options have a five speed manual gearbox as standard and a six speed manual transmission.Six speed automatic transmission facility is available with the transmission. Apart from this, four wheel drive (4WD) technology has been given for the special diesel variant, which helps a lot in off-roading and bad roads.

Maruti Suzuki Augusta Price in India

Expected price starting from Rs 30 lakh to Rs 30 lakh economy-wise, for the new Maruti Suzuki Agusta in the Indian market, whereas currently the price of Toyota Fortuner starts from Rs 35 lakh in the Indian market. Its price can be less or more at the time of launch.
